Liz Saucedo, LCSW, PMH-C

Welcome! I’m glad you’re here. I’m Liz, a licensed therapist dedicated to helping people find connection, balance, and healing in their lives.

In therapy, I provide a nurturing, non-judgmental perspective, recognizing the courage and vulnerability it takes to share your deepest struggles.

I hold space for the grief, anger, and trauma that underlies many mental and behavioral health challenges. All the while, finding resilience and hope in the innate power of the human spirit.

With specialized training in trauma, attachment, and certification in perinatal mental health, I support adults navigating complex experiences such as childhood and developmental trauma, birth and reproductive trauma, grief, and parental mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, and mood disorders for both birthing and non-birthing individuals. I am passionate about helping people break the cycle of generational trauma, empowering them to build confidence in managing distress, regulating intense emotions, and healing their inner child by recognizing and honoring their own needs.

Professional

I hold a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Social Work and Psychology from Weber State University. My career began with teens and at-risk youth facing behavioral challenges and involvement in the criminal justice system, which eventually led me to work with adults in the justice system and parents in the child welfare system, many of whom were recovering from addiction. Throughout my career, I’ve worked in diverse settings, including residential treatment centers, community mental health, treatment courts, jails, halfway houses, and private outpatient programs. Recognizing the lack of therapy resources for trauma and perinatal populations in my community, I launched my own practice in 2022 to focus on these vital areas. Since then, I’ve enjoyed the freedom to support individuals and parents in the work I’m most passionate about.

Personal

When I’m not in sessions, I love spending time with my family and two young kids. We enjoy outdoor adventures, messy play, and doing arts and crafts together. I’m always up for a good barbecue and love sitting around a fire with great company. As an amateur baker, I’m always on the lookout for new recipes to try and take joy in creating sweet treats to share with the people I love. My professional passions are deeply shaped by my personal experiences with trauma and postpartum mental health, along with my direct work with pregnant and postpartum families. For me, the professional is personal! I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to give back to my community by sharing resources, knowledge, and support for issues that are close to my heart.
